My Staves

My Staves

I haven't made my set of staves yet, but I did find an affordable set online I may get.  I haven't decided yet.

I'm still very interested in Ogham divination.  I've found a little information on it, but not as much as I'd like.  I may have to try to find someone who uses it as a divination technique to get answers to some of my questions.

In the meantime, I'll keep reading what I have, do some more research on how it was used in the past, and decide if I want to make my own set of staves or buy the set I found online.

Ogham Staves

Ogham Staves

I've decided I'm going to make my own Ogham staves.  Purchasing them can be quite expensive, so I'll just take a DIY approach, which is often better in Wiccan tools, anyway.

I don't know how I'm going to make them yet--probably dowels--but I'm definitely going to soon.

Since Tarot is a more structured divination tool, I think the randomness of Ogham staves will be a good complement in my spirituality.  Not only that, but I'm fascinated by the Celtic god Ogma, who is credited with creating the Ogham alphabet, and it will be a good incorporation of my Irish heritage in my Wiccan path.
