Have you ever had a Tarot reading done (by someone else)? What did you discover?
Intuition Breakthrough

I've set aside the little booklet that gives descriptions of the cards and I've started trying to let the cards tell me what they want. I look at the card and look for something that stands out to me and go from there.
It's already working well. I did a reading for Hubby and it went much, much better. I feel a much stronger connection with the cards now.
Hooray!
My First non-Hubby Reading
My First non-Hubby Reading
When my SIL was here for the animal-honoring ritual this weekend, I did a Tarot reading for her. She didn't tell me the question until after I went through the cards, and it was eerie how accurate the reading was. I'm not sure if she's happy or not with what the cards told her, but they had something serious to tell her!
I feel like I'm really developing a connection with my deck, which makes me happy. I try to do a reading at least once a day, and frequently ask Hubby if I can read for him. There are still some cards I have to look up the meanings for, but I'm starting to get them down. Some of the booklet meanings aren't quite right to me, either, so as I become more comfortable with the deck, I'm going to adjust the meanings to fit me and my connection with the deck a bit better. I've heard that some people write the meanings of the cards in the margins, but I'm not going to do that. I'd rather read by intuition than the hints written on the card.
Plus, I don't want to write on the cards.
It'll just take practice, and I'm more than happy to practice!
My Deck Arrived!
My Deck Arrived!
Hooray! Mr. UPS stopped by earlier this afternoon and I got my Robin Wood Tarot deck.
The first thing I did--even before taking the plastic wrapper off the box--was to consecrate the deck, then I looked through the cards, played with them a bit, and did some readings for Hubby and me.
I still need to work on the interpretations of the cards. Some of them make sense, but some of them I had to look up. There are a few I'm not sure I like the interpretations for, though, so I may work out my own meanings of them.
And I'll practice, practice, practice.

From Aeclectic Tarot:
"Easy for beginners and tarot newcomers to use with its Rider-Waite foundation, Robin Wood's self-titled Tarot deck is also rich in Pagan symbolism. The illsutrations in this popular deck are attractive, and brightly but not harshly coloured."
